Hotel Stebbins

Enjoyed a fabulous Friday fish fry tonight! Started with the amazing cheese curds and onion haystacks and enjoyed the pan fried walleye and baked cornflake walleye. Enjoyed the homemade desserts by Dawn. Our cocktails were fabulous and both the bartender Dawn and server Zack gave us amazing service. We were lucky enough to enjoy some fun conversation with the owner after dinner as well. I highly recommend an evening at Hotel Stebbins, next time we may rent a room so we can stay longer. :)

I’ve never actually stayed overnight here, but I’ve taken out-of-town friends to the bar—and it’s fantastic. The bartenders are quick-draw pros who keep everything moving with a smile, and the food is excellent. The whole place has that cozy, historic charm that makes you want to linger a little longer. If I find myself back in town, I’ll absolutely be stopping by again. I’m sad that we had to move away, but Hotel Stebbins will always be one of those warm memories that made Algoma feel like home for the short time I was there.

this is the perfect hotel if you’re looking for a lowkey, cozy place to spend your night. it’s an amazing preservation of history! the staff are all so, so kind and truly make you feel at home. me and my partner went in not long before close, and asked if they’d be okay with us eating there. we were fully prepared to find another spot, but they were gracious enough to stay to serve us. our waitress went above and beyond to make the experience special, even setting romantic ambiance and relighting the candle at our table! the rooms were cutely themed and clean, but a little quaint. this was no complaint to me, as i felt it fit with the historical vibe. there is also a beautiful beach just a short stroll from the hotel. me and my partner never imagined to have such a nice time when we stopped in the small town, but we’ve made several plans to stop back since!

Hotel Stebbins is a wonderful old hotel first built in mid to late 1800s. Pleasant and unique old atmosphere with some updated additions. Went for Girls Weekend which had many fun things attached to do along with your stay. Food in Algoma and Stebbins Hotel alone is worth your stay. Staff of all the towns business are all kind and attentive. Will be visiting again this year and next for another stay at the Stebbins.

Had lunch here and a delicious bloody mary! Food was very good, had shrimp and lobster Alfredo! I didn’t stay at the hotel so I can’t comment on the rooms but the dining and bar area was great, comfortable seating and very nice staff.

This Hotel and the accommodations are fabulous! Christine is amazing and the staff is so friendly and welcoming! The restaurant and bar is amazing! Food is 5***** we have come to Hotel Stebbins for years and will continue! This weekend we were here for Girls weekend! If you’re looking for a place to get away with a cozy atmosphere and great service this is the place.. all the surrounding local businesses are amazing as well!

We loved our stay! Great fish buffet, Great room!! My husband grew up there and was visiting his brothers! All the way from Whitehouse, TX. (Go Mahomes)Texas wife loves Wisconsin too Curds & Side Pork!!

What a beautiful place to stay! So much charm, personality & calmness all in one! Right in the middle of ALGOMA downtown, tons to do in this quaint little town, but all relaxing and laid back. Just what the doctor ordered! The Stebbins has a very nice bar, pool table, great drinks & food, and beautiful rooms! We will be regulars here. We highly recommend The Stebbins Hotel!!
